(Part 1) Local 2030 – Local action for global commitments (2019 HLPF Side Event)

The UN-wide Local2030 network is facilitating a two-day event focused on: • Local level financing of the SDGs; • The local dimensions of the SDGs under review at the 2019 HLPF; and • Voluntary Local Reviews. The event will convene and connect experts from the public, private, and non-governmental sectors, local leaders, and representatives from multiple UN agencies. It will highlight local contributions to the achievement of the SDGs under review and interlinkages between national, regional, and local action on these SDGs; and provide a space for learning and the exchange of experiences. The event will also highlight multistakeholder engagement in long term implementation processes in local contexts.
